Leeds is the biggest city in Yorkshire and one of the largest in the country, so air quality is an important issue. At Dalby Firewood we’re committed to doing our part for the environment, which is why every single log we sell is seasoned to provide a slow, clean burn with minimal smoke.

To achieve this, all of our logs are kiln-dried to reduce the moisture content. This means that less energy is wasted evaporating water from the wood, which drastically increases the amount of heat given off from each log. We’re proud to be a Woodsure Ready-to-Burn certified supplier, indicating that all our wood has a low moisture content and will deliver a clean, hot burn.

Firewood is the original carbon-neutral fuel. Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as they grow, and the same carbon dioxide is released when their wood is burned. This carbon dioxide is then absorbed by other trees enabling them to grow, forming a carbon-neutral cycle that uses the sun as a power source.
